Ray Girn
Educator, Entrepreneur, Humanist, Father
Ray Girn is an educational entrepreneur. His career has spanned roles as a teacher, a curriculum developer, a school leader, and various executive leadership functions. He was most recently founder and CEO of what grew to become the world’s largest network of Montessori schools.
Throughout, Ray’s work has reflected both his deep fascination with the first principles of human development, and his entrepreneurial zeal for turning complex intellectual systems into real products and services. He is now working on new projects that advance his interest in keys intersections in education: knowledge and agency, early education and K12, parenting and schooling, pedagogy and technology.
Ray lives just outside Austin, Texas with his wife Rebecca, who has always been his cofounder and business partner in all things, and their three boys.
“I have throughout my career earned the privilege of leading amazing teams who dared to do great work, seeking to rebuild the core of human learning rather than playing at the edges.”
